Patient and Family Resources

Alliance Oncology partners with hospitals and physicians to set a new standard of care for cancer patients. Together with our sister division, Alliance Imaging, Alliance works to meet patients’ needs for early detection. This is enabled by Positron Emission Tomography / Computed Tomography (PET/CT) technology, as well as advanced radiation therapy treatment options, including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).

In this section, you will find some basic information on PET/CT and radiation therapy. This patient information is intended to complement, not replace, information from your referring physician. Please direct all your specific questions to your referring physician. For additional patient information visit www.radiologyinfo.org, a public information site developed and funded by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
